If one of your family members dies due to recklessness or negligence, you may be able to hold the responsible parties accountable for their actions in a court of law. To begin this process, it is imperative that you find a personal injury attorney as soon as possible. These seasoned lawyers can help you gain monetary compensation on behalf of your loved one.
According to the Philadelphia Daily News, 23-year-old Temple University graduate Kevin Kless was fatally beaten on January 12, 2012, while attempting to hail a taxi with his girlfriend. Although the three attackers each pleaded guilty for their role in the crime and are currently in prison, Kless's family recently decided to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the assailants and the two bars that allegedly served them alcohol on the night of the crime.
The lawsuit claims that the attackers — who were under the legal drinking age of 21 — became "exceedingly inebriated" after being served alcoholic beverages at G Lounge and Lucy's Hat Shop.
"Kevin Kless did not deserve to die and the time has come to hold Lucy's Hat Shop and G Lounge responsible and accountable," said one of the personal injury lawyers representing the plaintiffs, as reported by the source.
