According to the St. Louis Dispatch, 43-year-old Shari Schnur, a former St. Charles County corrections officer, has filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the county and three of her former supervisors. In the lawsuit, Schnur claims that she was subjected to sexual harassment and age discrimination during her tenure.
"She alleged that the captain, who isn't a defendant in the suit, made unwelcome sexual advances, requests for dates, off-duty phone calls unrelated to work and leered at her on the job. She also accused him of following her after she left work in her personal vehicle," reports the source. "She said she complained to then-Corrections Director Alan Stahl and other department officials but Stahl told her not to pursue it further."
Schnur claims that her supervisors retaliated against her by disciplining her, changing her work schedule and ultimately terminating her.
